Letter from the Editors: Summer 2026 Edition

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the Summer 2026 issue of RehabINK! We are thrilled to share this edition, which reflects our ongoing mission: to inspire the rehabilitation science community through student-led, research-driven perspectives. Across the globe, rehabilitation science continues to make meaningful contributions to research, clinical practice, and the everyday lives of individuals. Two years after our previous issue, we are so excited to bring you this collection of incredible articles.

This issue features eight articles spanning a diverse range of topics in occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), and speech-language pathology (SLP). Together, these pieces highlight not only the depth of student scholarship but also the interdisciplinary nature of rehabilitation. We are especially excited to continue showcasing RehabINK’s unique artistic dimension, where illustration as an art form enhances and complements scientific storytelling.

As co-editors-in-chief, we are grateful for the opportunity to foster a platform where students can share their work, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. The summer season is often marked by milestones and celebrations: graduation, reflection, or new beginnings; we encourage you to take a moment to recognize your own accomplishments over the past year.

This journal would not be possible without the dedication and creativity of our editorial team, illustrators, and authors. Your commitment to excellence and passion for student-led scholarship continue to drive RehabINK forward, and for that, we extend our deepest thanks.

As you explore this issue, we invite you to engage with the content, reflect on the perspectives presented, and consider how you might contribute to the evolving landscape of rehabilitation. Please also consider following our Instagram account @rehabINK and our LinkedIN @rehabINK Magazine for highlights and future updates!

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can continue to push boundaries, amplify student voices, and make a lasting impact in rehabilitation science.

Warm regards,
Ellora Khandekar and Runqun Helen Zheng
